About us
Huntingdale Tee-Ball Club (HTBC) has been part of our local community since 1982, providing children from Kindy through to Year 6 with the opportunity to learn, play and enjoy the game of Tee-ball in a fun, safe and inclusive environment.
As one of several clubs within the Thornlie & Districts Tee-Ball Association (TDTBA), and an affiliated club of the Tee-Ball Association of Western Australia (TBAWA), we are committed to developing not only skilled players, but confident, respectful and resilient young people. Our club is built around the four "F's" of Tee-ball – Fun, Fair Play, Fundamental Skills and Family Involvement. This ensures every child has the opportunity to participate, improve and enjoy being part of a team.
Huntingdale Tee-Ball Club is proudly 100% volunteer-run. Our dedicated committee, accredited coaches, team managers and volunteers work together to create a welcoming and supportive environment where families can connect, children can thrive and lifelong friendships are formed. Every dollar raised through registrations, fundraising and sponsorship is reinvested into the club to provide quality equipment, player development opportunities and a positive experience for our members.
Today, Huntingdale Tee-Ball Club is one of the largest tee-ball clubs in TDTBA, regularly fielding multiple teams across all age groups and providing opportunities for more than 150 players each season. Our players are encouraged to develop their skills, with many progressing to represent the club and the association at the TBAWA State Championships in March each year.
We are proud to be a family-oriented club where everyone is welcome, regardless of experience or ability. Whether your child is picking up a bat for the very first time or looking to further develop their skills, Huntingdale Tee-Ball Club offers a supportive environment where players can build confidence, make friends, stay active and, most importantly, have fun.

As a club, we aim to engage our players to ensure time spent with their team and coaching staff is an enjoyable and fulfilling experience.
General Info
Training
Training is held on Thursday afternoons, with individual team training times confirmed once teams and coaches have been finalised.
All training sessions are held at Reserve B, Sutherlands Park, Huntingdale (corner of Southern River Road and Holmes Street).
Games
All games are also played at Reserve B, Sutherlands Park, Huntingdale and run for one hour.
Games are scheduled on either Friday evenings or Saturday mornings, depending on the competition draw.
The season fixture, including game start times, is prepared by TDTBA and is typically released around two weeks before the first round.
Game start times vary season to season depending on team numbers in age division and may commence anywhere between 7:45am and midday.
Team Allocation
Team selections are finalised and announced at our Meet the Team Day prior to the commencement of the season.
Club Uniform & Equipment
Huntingdale Tee-Ball Club provides each player with a playing shirt for the season. This shirt remains the property of the club and must be returned at the conclusion of the season.
Each team is also supplied with a kit containing shared playing equipment, including bats and helmets, for use during training and games.
Player Requirements
Each player is required to provide their own:
Black tee-ball/baseball pants
Black socks (available for purchase through the club)
Club hat (available for purchase through the club)
A fielding glove or mitt
Players are also welcome to use their own bat and batting helmet if they wish, provided it meets requirements. Please note that wooden bats are not permitted.
Volunteers
Huntingdale Tee-Ball Club is proudly run by a dedicated team of volunteers, and our game days are no different. Each team relies on the support of families and volunteers to help create a positive experience for all players.
To ensure each game runs smoothly, we require volunteers for roles including:

Assistant Coaches
Team Managers
Scorers
Plate Umpires
Base Umpires
No matter your experience level, there is a way for everyone to get involved and support our players. If you are interested in nominating for one of these roles, we would love to hear from you!
What is Tee-ball?
The origins of Tee-ball date back to the 1950s and it’s a team sport based on a simplified version of baseball and softball. It is intended as an introduction into both baseball and softball where children can learn and develop ball game skills and have fun!
All children of the team are rotated through different fielding positions and each take a turn to hit the ball off a tee which is stationary. The game encourages team work, supporting each other and learning new skills – particularly the development of hand/eye coordination.
