About the Natasha Bakranich All Girls Carnival

The Natasha Bakranich All Girls Carnival was launched by Huntingdale Tee-ball Club in 2021 with one simple goal: to celebrate girls in tee-ball and inspire them to stay involved in the sport they love.

We’d noticed that around the age of 10, female participation often begins to decline and the game becomes increasingly male-dominated. We wanted to create a day that was all about the girls, giving them the chance to play alongside and against other girls their own age, build confidence, showcase their skills, make new friends, and most importantly, have a fantastic time!

More than just a carnival, this event highlights the many opportunities available to girls in tee-ball, encouraging them to continue their diamond sport journey throughout their childhood, teenage years and beyond. We hope every participant leaves feeling empowered, inspired, and excited about the future of the game.

Our inaugural carnival in 2021 exceeded all expectations, with 11 teams from across Perth coming together for a memorable day of fun, competition and community spirit. The overwhelmingly positive feedback we received inspired us to make the carnival bigger and better each year.

Since then, the event has continued to grow:

  • 2022: Approximately 235 girls and 22 teams joined us from clubs across the Perth metropolitan area, travelling from Wanneroo Joondalup through to Secret Harbour and everywhere in between.

  • 2024: The carnival welcomed a record 298 girls, representing 25 teams from 19 clubs, making it our biggest and most successful event yet.

Today, the Natasha Bakranich All Girls Carnival is a highlight on the tee-ball calendar, bringing together hundreds of girls each year to celebrate sport, friendship, teamwork and the joy of playing the game.
